Vintage Streak of Lightning Cutter Quilt

THIS IS A CUTTER QUILT

If pink makes your heart happy, this vintage Streak of Lightning quilt is overflowing with possibility. Measuring 68" x 78", this quilt dates to approximately the 1950s–1970s and features soft pink and white fabrics arranged in the classic lightning bolt design. The quilt is hand quilted with a lovely allover texture and machine bound. Decades of love and use have given it the beautifully crinkled appearance that vintage quilt lovers adore. The pale pink color feels sweet, nostalgic, and timeless—perfect for farmhouse, cottage, or shabby chic decorating.

This quilt is being offered as a cutter quilt. There is loss of quilting stitches throughout, which has allowed the batting to shift and create bumps in several areas. The binding is worn and torn in places, making restoration difficult but opening the door to countless creative possibilities. Imagine this quilt transformed into darling pillows, tote bags, teddy bears, bunnies, Christmas stockings, table runners, nursery decor, quilted jackets, tree skirts, or other one-of-a-kind creations. The soft pink palette is especially desirable for baby gifts, girls' rooms, and spring-inspired projects. While its days as a functional bed quilt may be behind it, this vintage beauty still has plenty of stories left to tell—and plenty of second lives waiting to be stitched.

Due to the vintage and handmade nature of the items sold at Janj Threads, all sales are final.

We do our very best to carefully inspect each piece and note any flaws, fabric wear, fading, dye bleeding, spots, stains, repairs, or damage within the listing description and photos. However, because these quilts and textiles are often decades old, we may occasionally miss something.

Please take time to carefully review all photos provided for each item before completing your purchase.

Photos containing a green tag are intended to highlight an imperfection or area of concern. The green tag measures approximately 2” x 2” and is included to help give perspective on the size of the flaw. Cutter Quilts will not have green tags. Look closely at the photos.
