Vintage Quilt Sawtooth Square

Soft, cheerful, and timeless, this beautiful Vintage Sawtooth Star Quilt showcases 42 hand-pieced Sawtooth Star blocks in two coordinating scales of sunny yellow-and-white gingham. The monochromatic palette gives the quilt a fresh, classic farmhouse appeal while allowing the exceptional hand quilting to shine. Thoughtfully framed by a coordinating yellow border, this quilt is a wonderful example of mid-century craftsmanship that feels just as at home in today's décor as it did generations ago.

Carefully hand quilted at an impressive 8 stitches per inch, this quilt displays the skill and patience of its maker. It features thin batting, creating a soft drape and the lovely puckered texture that only decades of gentle use can achieve. The quilt is finished with an applied hand-stitched binding, a hallmark of quality workmanship.

As expected of a cherished vintage textile, this quilt shows honest signs of age. All 42 gingham stars remain intact, preserving the beauty of the design. There are three small but notable spots on the front, with one visible on the backing as well. Additionally, there is what appears to be some rust stains. The white background fabric has a couple areas of fabric loss, and the binding shows some fraying from years of use. There is no yellowing. These imperfections are reflected in the photographs and do not diminish the quilt's warmth, character, or display appeal. 

This quilt has been laundered by Janj Threads.
