Vintage Quilt Six Petal Daisy

This is a cutter/stacker Quilt

This wonderfully soft and well-loved quilt features 93 hand-pieced six-petal flowers set against a white background. Because no definitive published pattern name could be confirmed, we are calling it the Six Petal Daisy Quilt. Its cheerful scrap assortment includes tiny florals, dots and larger-scale prints in soft pink, lavender, blue, green, yellow and brown. The variety suggests fabrics collected across several decades, likely placing the quilt’s completion around the 1950s–1970s. Measuring approximately 80" x 80", it has thin batting, hand-stitched quilting and a hand-stitched applied binding. Machine zigzag stitching visible along some seams appears to be a later attempt to mend and reinforce the quilt.

This quilt has significant fabric deterioration, loss and seam separation and is being offered as a cutter/stacker quilt. Of its 93 flowers, approximately 75 remain intact, while 18 have varying degrees of fabric loss or open seams. The greatest wear is visible in several yellow flower centers, with additional deterioration found in some petals and areas of the white background. Please review all photographs carefully for condition. Despite its wear, the quilt is exceptionally soft and remains full of vintage charm—beautiful folded in a quilt stack or repurposed into pillows, framed pieces and other creative projects.

This quilt has not been laundered by Janj Threads. Any cleaning decisions have been left to the next caretaker to preserve the quilt according to their preferences.
