Vintage Quilt Mountain Rose Kit Quilt

This Vintage Quilt Mountain Rose Kit Quilt, measuring 76" x 89", features twelve pink roses with green leaves and rosebuds on a cream background. A border of rosebuds and a softly scalloped edge frame the flowers, while lovely hand quilting adds rich texture throughout. The batting is thin, and the applied pink binding is finished with hand stitching.

The Mountain Rose Kit Quilt was available from Herrshner's Catalog from 1959-1960. The kits sold for $8.98.

There are a few spots on the quilt, along with yellowing at the head and foot. The binding also has some fraying at the head and foot; please review the detail photos for these areas. With its soft colors and beautifully stitched floral design, this quilt offers plenty of vintage charm.

This quilt has not been laundered by Janj Threads. Any cleaning decisions have been left to the next caretaker to preserve the quilt according to their preferences.
