Vintage Quilt Pink Jacob's Ladder

This beautiful vintage Jacob’s Ladder quilt features a classic two-color design in pink and cream. Alternating four-patch units and half-square triangles create the pattern’s distinctive diagonal pathways, giving the quilt wonderful movement and visual interest.

Measuring 66" x 81", the quilt is finished with an applied binding that was stitched by hand. The quilting is also completed by hand at approximately 8 stitches per inch. Detailed feather and vine quilting fills the open areas and borders, beautifully complementing the geometric piecing. Thin batting gives the quilt a lightweight feel while allowing the hand-quilted designs to stand out.

The quilt is in excellent structural condition. It does have some overall yellowing and a few spots on the backing, as shown in the photographs. It would benefit from a thorough, quilt-safe laundering and soaking. Please review all photos carefully for condition and details.

A lovely example of the traditional Jacob’s Ladder pattern with exceptional hand quilting and timeless pink-and-cream coloring.

This quilt has not been laundered by Janj Threads. Any cleaning decisions have been left to the next caretaker to preserve the quilt according to their preferences. I highly recommend testing the colors for fastness before washing this quilt. Please read the stain disclaimer below as all sales are final. 

  • Condition: Very Good. Structurally sound. There is some yellowing throughout the quilt. There are a few spots on the back. 
  • Circa: Based on the solid pink-and-cream cotton fabrics, traditional Jacob’s Ladder pattern, thin batting, hand-stitched applied binding, and dense hand quilting, this quilt is estimated to date from circa 1920–1940, with the 1930s being a strong possibility.
