Vintage Quilt Grandmother's Flower Garden with Green Lattice

This charming vintage Grandmother’s Flower Garden quilt measures 68" x 84" and is filled with a wonderful assortment of cheerful feedsack fabrics. Each flower is formed from carefully hand-pieced hexagons, with colorful solids and ditsy feedsack prints creating a lively garden across the quilt. The flowers are surrounded by a white pathway accented with green latticework, producing a beautiful secondary garden-path design.

The quilting is hand stitched, and the quilt is finished with an applied binding that was stitched by hand. Its medium-weight batting gives it a heavier, more substantial feel than is typically found in Grandmother’s Flower Garden quilts, making it especially cozy as well as visually appealing.

The backing is also made from feedsack material, with its original blue and red woven stripes still clearly visible. From the abundance of ditsy feedsack prints to the distinctive green lattice pathway and striped feedsack backing, this is an especially appealing example of a beloved American quilt pattern—and an ideal Grandmother’s Flower Garden quilt for any vintage textile collection.

This quilt has not been laundered by Janj Threads. Any cleaning decisions have been left to the next caretaker to preserve the quilt according to their preferences. I highly recommend testing the colors for fastness before washing this quilt.
