Vintage Quilt Grandmother's Flower Garden

This beautiful vintage Grandmother’s Flower Garden quilt measures approximately 70" x 73" and features striking deep-red flowers with warm orange centers, surrounded by a wonderful variety of colorful feedsack fabrics. The crisp white pathway allows each flower to stand out, while the scalloped edge and narrow red applied binding provide a charming finish. The binding is hand stitched, the quilting is also completed by hand, and the thin batting gives the quilt a lightweight feel with lovely vintage texture. Based on the traditional pattern and feedsack fabrics, this quilt dates to approximately the 1930s–1940s.

The quilt is in excellent condition, with no fabric loss or deterioration. There is one small spot on the back, as noted in the photos. With its cheerful colors, impressive variety of period fabrics, and beautifully preserved condition, this is a wonderful example of an early Grandmother’s Flower Garden quilt.

This quilt has not been laundered by Janj Threads. Any cleaning decisions have been left to the next caretaker to preserve the quilt according to their preferences. The quilt appears to never have been washed and we recommend color testing (especially that beautiful red) before laundering.
