This striking Vintage Geometric Medallion Quilt is a wonderful example of how a treasured quilt top can be lovingly completed for future generations to enjoy. Measuring 86" x 94", the quilt features a bold geometric medallion design created from warm cheddar, crisp white, and charming yellow floral fabrics. Our research strongly suggests the quilt top was pieced during the late 1930s to 1940s using authentic feedsack fabrics. The tiny yellow floral print is characteristic of period feedsack textiles, while the rich cheddar fabric reveals faint shadowing from its original printed design—evidence that the maker likely turned printed feedsack fabric to its reverse side to achieve the desired solid color, a resourceful practice commonly seen in vintage quilts of the era.

At some point later in its life, this unfinished quilt top appears to have been professionally completed using modern longarm quilting techniques. The remarkably even machine quilting, likely created with a pantograph or computerized system, adds beautiful flowing movement across the entire quilt while preserving the integrity of the vintage top. Hidden within the quilting are the inspirational words "Love," "Faith," and "Hope," adding a thoughtful and unexpected detail that beautifully bridges the quilt's historic beginnings with its later completion. The applied binding is hand stitched, giving the finished quilt a traditional appearance despite its later quilting. The backing is a cheerful bright yellow, creating a warm and sunny complement to the quilt's front.
