THIS QUILT IS MADE WITH POLYESTER FABRIC

This vibrant Hexagon Flower Garden quilt is a wonderful example of mid-century quilting creativity, measuring an impressive 80" x 96". The quilt top is made entirely of colorful polyester hexagons arranged into cheerful flower motifs that seem to dance across the crisp white background. The variety of prints and colors gives the quilt a joyful, almost kaleidoscopic appearance, while the soft floral cotton backing—possibly repurposed from a vintage sheet—adds another layer of charm and nostalgia. Hand quilted and hand bound, this quilt showcases the time, patience, and craftsmanship of its maker.

With its medium-weight batting and substantial polyester construction, this is a wonderfully heavy quilt that feels comforting and cozy when draped across a bed. It has the kind of weight that modern quilts rarely achieve. There is some seam separation present along portions of the binding, consistent with age and use, but the quilt remains a striking display piece and a functional cuddle quilt. This quilt has not been laundered by Janj Threads. Whether displayed in a guest room, layered over a bed, or folded in a favorite chair, this colorful beauty brings unmistakable vintage charm and personality to any space.

  • Condition: Excellent Vintage Condition Some seam separation on the binding.  
  • Circa: 1965–1980. The polyester fabrics, vibrant color palette, and overall construction are characteristic of quilts made during the late 1960s through the 1970s, when synthetic fabrics became increasingly popular among home quilters.
