Log Cabin Bold and Beautiful **SOLD**
Some quilts whisper… this one speaks in color.
A bold and beautifully balanced Log Cabin quilt, where every strip tells a story of use, resourcefulness, and quiet creativity. The Log Cabin pattern dates back to the 1800s, often symbolizing home—with its center square representing the hearth, the heart of the household. Over time, makers made it their own… and this one feels especially free-spirited.
Set against a soft white background, these rich solids—teal, coral, butter yellow, deep red, and blue—create a rhythm that feels almost modern. It’s a reminder that good design never goes out of style.
Turn it over and you’ll find a feedsack backing, a beautiful nod to an era when fabric was saved, repurposed, and stitched into something meant to last. Likely made mid-century, this quilt carries both practicality and personality in every stitch. Look close at the photos and you can see the printing from the feedsacks used on the back. There are two patches on the back that can be seen in the photos. There is also a small hole, as shown in the photos. There are also a few loose seams in one of the blocks.
This beauty is a nice size at 78" X 67". Hand quilted. Well loved. Ready for its next home.
