Vintage Quilt Double Wedding Ring

THIS IS A CUTTER/STACKER QUILT

This vintage Double Wedding Ring Quilt measures 72" x 78" and features colorful scrappy rings joined by striking solid-red intersection squares. The wonderful assortment of period cottons includes florals, checks, stripes, geometric prints and fabrics that may have originated as feedsacks or dressmaking scraps. The quilt is hand quilted with thin batting and finished with an applied, hand-stitched binding.

Circa 1930s–1940s. This quilt is being offered as a cutter quilt due to extensive damage along the binding and missing portions of the border. A few of the pieced rings have fabric loss and deterioration, although most remain intact and provide many colorful sections for repurposing. Please review all photographs carefully for the location and extent of the damage.

This quilt has not been laundered by Janj Threads. Any cleaning decisions have been left to the next caretaker to preserve the quilt according to their preferences. I highly recommend testing the colors for fastness before washing this quilt.
