Vintage Quit 1931 Dated Dresden Plate

Vintage Quilt 1931 Dated Dresden Plated
A wonderful assortment of feedsack fabrics gives this Dresden Plate quilt its cheerful, scrappy character. Florals, polka dots, checks, narrow stripes, paisley-style motifs, and bold geometric prints mingle throughout the plates, offering a delightful fabric study. The open-center Dresden rings sit against a light background, framed by colorful sashing and a green outer border.
Embroidered “Alma Herink 1931,” this quilt carries a personal connection to its past. The plates are appliquéd with both hand and machine stitching, while the quilting is machine stitched in an overlapping fan design. An applied, machine-stitched binding finishes the edges. Midweight batting with a little loft gives it a comfortable, softly textured feel.
Measuring 66" x 82", the quilt has no notable issues on the front and no fabric loss or deterioration. The blue backing has large areas of fading and yellowing; please review the photographs closely for these details.
A lovely choice for a feedsack enthusiast or anyone drawn to colorful vintage patchwork with a name and date stitched into its story.
This quilt has been gently laundered by Janj Threads using quilt safe methods. While every effort has been made to preserve the quilt's original character, signs of age and use may still be present. The discoloration on the back did not lighten with washing and I believe this to be fading.
