Vintage Quilt Sunbonnet Sue 

Twenty charming Sunbonnet Sues show off their colorful wardrobes in this delightful vintage quilt. Feed sack fabrics mingle with other fabrics in a cheerful assortment of floral and geometric prints, giving each little figure her own personality. Warm tan blocks are framed by turquoise polka-dot sashing and a matching border—a playful finishing touch with plenty of nostalgic charm.

Measuring 67 x 83 inches, this quilt features hand-stitched quilting in a grid design and thin batting for a lightweight feel. Some of the original quilter’s guidelines appear to remain visible, offering a sweet glimpse into the making process. The appliqué was hand stitched, with additional machine stitching that appears to have been added later. An applied binding, finished by hand, completes the edges.

The quilt is in excellent condition, with lovely handwork and an appealing collection of vintage fabrics. A wonderful choice for display or for adding a touch of old-fashioned warmth to your home.

This quilt has not been laundered by Janj Threads. Any cleaning decisions have been left to the next caretaker to preserve the quilt according to their preferences.
