Vintage Quilt Overall Sam

Eight charming Overall Sams bring plenty of personality to this vintage appliqué quilt! Each little fellow wears a broad-brimmed hat and coordinating overalls, with shirts made from a delightful assortment of checks, florals, and novelty prints. Shades of pink, blue, yellow, red, and tan stand out against cream blocks set on point, framed by cheerful orange triangles and borders.

Black blanket stitching outlines the figures, while embroidered hat crowns, crossed suspenders, and buttons add sweet finishing touches. Hand-stitched quilting runs diagonally across the background and through the figures, with additional rows along the borders. Thin batting gives the quilt a lightweight feel, and a hand-stitched knife-edge finish completes the edges.
