Vintage Quilt Cross Stitched Daisy

This charming vintage Cross-Stitched Floral Quilt measures approximately 76" square and features 25 white blocks, each decorated with a large eight-petal flower worked directly onto the block fabric in golden-yellow cross-stitch. Smaller embroidered flowers with green leafy stems accent the centers. Golden-yellow sashing, green cornerstones and coordinating borders create a cheerful color palette characteristic of the 1940s–1950s.

The quilt is hand quilted at approximately 8 stitches per inch over thin batting, with especially lovely leafy-vine quilting throughout the border This quilt still has the quilters guidelines on it. It is finished with an applied, hand-stitched green binding. Structurally, the quilt is in excellent condition with no fabric loss or noticeable wear. There is sparse yellow dye transfer, believed to be from the yellow border fabric or embroidery thread, along with one spot on the front, as shown in the photographs.

This quilt has not been laundered by Janj Threads. Any cleaning decisions have been left to the next caretaker to preserve the quilt according to their preferences.
