THIS IS A CUTTER/STACKER Quilt.

This vintage Glorified Nine Patch quilt measures approximately 70" x 70". Also known as the Improved Nine Patch, this intricate pattern uses curved piecing to transform traditional nine-patch centers into a beautiful secondary design of interlocking circles. The quilt features a charming assortment of florals, checks, plaids, geometrics, and novelty prints in soft pink, lavender, yellow, aqua, red, and blue. Based on the pattern and fabrics, we would place this quilt circa 1930s–1940s.

The quilting is hand stitched over thin batting that has shifted in some areas. It is finished with an applied, hand-stitched binding that shows fraying and deterioration. This quilt has extensive fabric loss, deterioration, open areas, and exposed batting, as shown in the photos. It is being sold as a cutter/stacker quilt and would be a wonderful choice for pillows, framed pieces, small sewing projects, folded-stack displays, or other creative repurposing.

This quilt has not been laundered by Janj Threads. Any cleaning decisions have been left to the next caretaker to preserve the quilt according to their preferences. I highly recommend testing the colors for fastness before washing this quilt.
