This delightful Flower Basket Embroidery Quilt is a wonderful example of mid-century handwork, combining graceful embroidery with beautifully executed hand quilting. Measuring 82" x 86", the quilt features twelve embroidered basket blocks filled with delicate sprays of flowers, each created with an abundance of finely worked French knots that add remarkable texture and dimension. The hand quilting includes lovely floral motifs in the white blocks and flowing cable quilting through the pink sashing, while the applied binding has been finished by hand. Inside is a lightweight cotton batting that has developed some shifting over time, adding to the quilt's vintage character.

This quilt is being offered as a cutter quilt due to extensive damage along the head edge, including significant fraying, tearing, and fabric loss. While it is no longer suitable for everyday use as a bed quilt, the exceptional embroidery makes it an outstanding candidate for thoughtful repurposing.
