Vintage Quilt Autumn Bouquet Kit Quilt

This lovely vintage quilt was made from the Autumn Bouquet appliqué kit, pattern #7370, originally produced by Home Needlecraft Creations. The design features a generous central bouquet of stylized pink, blue, yellow and lavender flowers accented with soft green stems and leaves. Smaller floral arrangements and scattered blossoms complete the balanced medallion-style layout.

Research shows that the kit was offered through Herrschners catalogs from 1951–1953, Lee Wards catalogs from 1954–1958, and appeared again as a Gold Art kit illustration in 1963. Although commercially designed, the quilt itself reflects many hours of careful handwork.

Measuring 76" x 90", the quilt features turned-edge appliqué that is hand stitched to the white background. The dense, decorative quilting is also completed by hand and beautifully complements the floral design. It is finished with an applied binding that is hand stitched, and the thin batting gives the quilt a lightweight, graceful drape.

This quilt is in excellent vintage condition, with no notable spots, stains, holes, fabric loss or deterioration.

This quilt has not been laundered by Janj Threads. Any cleaning decisions have been left to the next caretaker to preserve the quilt according to their preferences. I highly recommend testing the colors for fastness before washing this quilt.
