Vintage Quilt Arch Company 8 Point String Star

Rich red, forest green, and navy bring a cozy, traditional feel to this Star of Stripes quilt. Strip-pieced stars stand against creamy backgrounds, framed by navy sashing, red cornerstones, and coordinating borders. The changing color placement gives each star its own personality.

Measuring 87" × 98", this quilt is believed to be a commercially made Arch quilt, although the maker has not been confirmed. There is no Arch Quilt label, however an image search of the internet returned other quilts of the same construction, fabric and size.  It features hand-stitched quilting and a hand-stitched knife’s-edge finish. Medium-weight batting with a bit of loft gives it a comfortably substantial feel.

There are a few seam separations, so please review the photos closely for condition details. With its generous size and warm colors, this quilt would make a lovely addition to a cozy bedroom or a striking wall display. This quilt has been gently laundered by Janj Threads using quilt safe methods. While every effort has been made to preserve the quilt's original character, signs of age and use may still be present. The quilt is clean, fresh and ready to enjoy.
