Vintage Postage Stamp Quilt

This charming vintage Postage Stamp Quilt is a wonderful celebration of the fabrics of its era. Measuring 72" x 82", it is made from hundreds of tiny squares carefully arranged in a classic checkerboard design, creating a colorful patchwork of feedsack prints, florals, plaids, shirtings, and dress fabrics. The soft pink border beautifully frames the quilt and adds a cheerful touch to this timeless design. Hand quilted and finished with a hand-sewn applied binding, this quilt showcases the patience and skill of its maker while preserving a remarkable collection of vintage textiles.

The quilt is in excellent vintage condition with only one spot noted. It has a wonderfully soft hand and appears to contain very thin batting, or possibly no batting at all, giving it the light and supple feel that collectors often appreciate in older quilts. Whether displayed as a treasured piece of textile history or enjoyed as a lightweight coverlet, this quilt offers endless opportunities to admire the variety of fabrics and craftsmanship stitched into every square.

This quilt has not been laundered by Janj Threads, as it came to us in excellent and clean condition.

Due to the vintage and handmade nature of the items sold at Janj Threads, all sales are final.

We do our very best to carefully inspect each piece and note any flaws, fabric wear, fading, dye bleeding, spots, stains, repairs, or damage within the listing description and photos. However, because these quilts and textiles are often decades old, we may occasionally miss something.

Please take time to carefully review all photos provided for each item before completing your purchase.

Photos containing a green tag are intended to highlight an imperfection or area of concern. The green tag measures approximately 2” x 2” and is included to help give perspective on the size of the flaw. Cutter/Stacker quilts do not have green tags. Please review the photos carefully.

Vintage quilts and textiles carry the beauty of age, history, and use, and minor imperfections are often part of their story and charm.
