Vintage Endless Chain Variation Quilt

This charming vintage quilt showcases a variation of the Endless Chain pattern, a design popularized by Nancy Cabot in 1932. Measuring 72" x 83", the quilt features vibrant red curved units that create a beautiful chain-like movement across the surface, drawing the eye from block to block. The maker combined an eclectic assortment of floral prints, ginghams, novelty fabrics, and textured textiles, resulting in a cheerful, one-of-a-kind composition full of character and visual interest. A red gingham border frames the quilt beautifully and complements the repeating chain motif throughout.

Most of the quilt has been hand stitched, preserving the craftsmanship and charm of traditional quiltmaking. The red gingham border and applied binding were machine stitched, likely added during the quilt's finishing process. This quilt is in excellent condition with no notable spots, stains, fabric wear, or fabric loss observed. It displays beautifully and remains a wonderful example of resourceful scrap quilting, combining vintage fabrics with a timeless pattern that continues to captivate collectors and quilt lovers alike.

This quilt has not been laundered by Janj Threads.
