Vintage Four Patch Quilt

This charming vintage quilt showcases a delightful mix of fabrics, including colorful plaids, shirtings, florals, novelty prints, and cheerful solids, all set against a vibrant pink background. Measuring 68" x 73", the simple patchwork design allows the variety of fabrics and beautiful quilting motifs to shine. The combination of feedsack-era style prints, clothing-inspired plaids, and classic cottons creates a wonderful snapshot of mid-century quilt making. The quilt is machine quilted with an applied binding, and the scrolling quilting design adds lovely texture and dimension throughout.

This quilt remains clean and displays beautifully, though a gentle bath may help restore additional vibrancy to the pink fabrics. There is some wear visible on several of the light pink squares, along with fading and fraying to portions of the binding consistent with age and use. The backing remains clean and highlights the lovely quilting pattern. A wonderful example of a well-loved vintage quilt, perfect for display, collection, or adding a touch of authentic vintage charm to your home.

This quilt has not been laundered by Janj Threads.

  • Condition: Good
  • Circa: 1940s - early 1950s  The combination of colorful solid pink fabric, novelty prints, plaids, shirtings, and feedsack-style cottons suggests this quilt was likely made during the late 1940s to early 1950s. The machine quilting, applied binding, and mix of both utilitarian and decorative fabrics reflect a period when quilters commonly incorporated available household and garment fabrics into practical everyday quilts. While some fabrics may date earlier, the quilt was most likely assembled and finished circa 1945–1955.
